New Gospel Generation
As the name says, this choir exists to raise the new gospel generation – a place where children and young people learn to sing, harmonize, and express gospel through music.
The choir brings together our former groups, Gospel4Kids and Gospel4Teens, with singers from 1st to 9th grade.
With a great team of adults supporting the choir, we make sure every singer is both encouraged and challenged at their own level.
We rehearse on Wednesdays (except the first Wednesday of each month) from 4:00–5:30 PM.
The fee is 300 DKK per half-year, and singers are encouraged to become members of SFBU, our local children and youth association (100 DKK per year).
Every singer receives a choir T-shirt, which should be returned if they stop singing with us.
How does it work…
If you’d like to sing in the choir, just come by on a Wednesday at 4:00 PM at Sønderborg Free Church, Damgade 94 (maybe a little earlier, so we can give you a warm welcome).
The first two rehearsals are trial sessions – after that, you decide if you’d like to join the choir and sign up using the link on the right. There’s no audition – we believe the best way to learn to sing is simply by doing it, especially together with others! If parents need to stay during rehearsal, they’re welcome to use the Church room upstairs.
We always start rehearsals by warming up and greeting each other, and then we dive into learning the songs and the movements that go with them.
Each singer receives a song folder once registered – remember to bring it to rehearsals!
