May Jeznach Madsen serves as the senior pastor at Sønderborg Free Church. She is also the leader of Gospel Fellowship Sønderborg, where she conducts and oversees three gospel choirs.
May is married to Poul Jeznach Madsen, and together they have twins, Clara and Mikkel, born in 2005.
May works full-time for the church. Friday is her day off, and Wednesdays are dedicated to her work with the gospel choirs.

David Deutsch serves as pastor at Sønderborg Free Church. Together with May Jeznach Madsen, he shares responsibility for the daily life and well-being of the congregation.
David is married to Miriam, and together they have three children, aged 7 to 15. He is a trained school teacher.
David works 25% part-time for the church. Alongside his ministry, he is employed at Sønderborg Youth School as a School Leisure Coordinator.
The Leadership Team
The leadership team consists of members of the congregation who share responsibility for the overall well-being of the church. They help carry and implement the church’s vision, goals, and mission. The leadership team is responsible for the welfare of the staff and for the church’s finances. They meet with the church’s pastors once a month – and as needed. The pastors hold the responsibility for the church’s day-to-day leadership.

The Leadership Forum
The Leadership Forum at Sønderborg Free Church consists of people who carry leadership responsibility for specific areas of church life – including regular service leaders. The group also includes co-leaders of ministry teams and potential future leaders – people in whom we see a developing calling and the potential to be equipped for leadership within Sønderborg Free Church. We expect those who lead a ministry or workgroup in the church to take part in this forum. The church’s daily leadership (David and May) lead and guide the church through this network of leaders. The goal is to build strong and healthy teams across the various areas of ministry.
