Buffer

Buffer is our community for children and teenagers between 12 and 19 years old. We meet at the church every other Monday (odd weeks in the calendar) from 7:00–9:00 PM. We enjoy a mix of social activities — laughing, playing games, reading the Bible, praying together — and often sharing a little treat during the break.

Bigbuffer

BigBuffer is our community for teenagers and young adults.You can join BigBuffer once you’ve finished primary school or boarding school.We meet at the church every other Monday (even weeks in the calendae) from 7:00–9:00 PM.BigBuffer is held in English . 

Children's church

On selected Sundays, there is Children’s Church in the church basement with our children’s workers, while the adults gather for the main service upstairs.

New Gospel Generation

New Gospel Generation is our gospel choir for children and young people. You can join the choir in August of the year you start 1st grade, and continue singing until the end of 9th grade.The choir rehearses every Wednesday from 4:00–5:30 PM.

Children's and youth camp

Every year during the autumn season, Sønderborg Free Church organizes a camp for children and youth. Children can join once they are able to manage basic things on their own (like going to the bathroom, etc.). Young people who want to take part are also very welcome – and the older you are, the more responsibility you get.

Youth Blessing

At Sønderborg Free Church, we offer a Youth Blessing instead of confirmation. During the year you are in 7th grade, we meet once a month on Tuesday afternoons for teaching. The teaching is free of charge and is led by one of the church’s pastors.

Teaching Camp

We are part of something bigger, and it’s a great gift for children and young people to have Christian communities beyond the local church.For those preparing for the Youth Blessing, we strongly encourage participation in the teaching camp during the autumn break, together with other teenagers from the Apostolic Church in Denmark.
